Not your typical funeral establishment!

In 1989, the storefront operation that Lloyd Mandel opened in Skokie (Lloyd Mandel Levayah Funerals) was unique to the funeral industry, but it made sense for families that were going to have funeral services at graveside, or from their place of worship as it was much less expensive to maintain than a multi-million dollar funeral home.

Now, with the ability to show caskets on a computer screen, it is no longer necessary to have a large casket selection room, so the need for a large storefront has passed. 

On July 21st, 2010, Mural Funeral Group and Mitzvah Memorial Funerals opened at a Regus office suite in Deerfield at 500 Lake Cook Road, suite 350. We still can use this facility as well as the network of Regus offices throughout Chicago.

On December 1st, of 2019 we moved into a new facility in Northbrook. This facility gives us more office space, which is needed due to the volume of cases we are now doing. More importantly, we will soon have a preparation room at this facility where the deceased will be held and cared for until the time of the funeral and disposition. 



We can also make funeral arrangements at your home and also now do this very effectively over the phone and with the use of the internet to show caskets and to email contracts and authorizations.
