Metal caskets are not traditional, but reform Jewish families often buy these for various reasons including price and protective features. 

Most cemeteries require the use of an outer burial container, or vault. The purpose of the container is to maintain integrity of the ground above. Every container below serves cemetery requirements, though the raw concrete grave-liner is NOT accepted by Shalom Memorial Park.
